Job summary

Lanesra Technical Recruitment Ltd is seeking a General Foreman for a major water treatment project near the Kent / Sussex border. You will report to the Site Manager and coordinate safe management of a section of work, ensuring HSQE, programme and budget requirements are met.

Responsibilities include coordinating site set-up, enforcing framework usage, assessing security risks, and maintaining safety standards in line with statutory requirements and company policies.

Qualifications

• ONC or HNC in a construction discipline.
• SMSTS/SSSTS accreditation is required.
• First Aid certification is required.
• Confined space training is preferred.
• Experience in the water treatment industry (non-infrastructure).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate initial site set-up with the Site Manager and oversee framework installation.
• Enforce methods and controls to optimize framework resources.
• Assess security risks and apply appropriate security levels.
• Support Site Manager to maintain HS&E standards and safety policies.
• Work to method statements and risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance with HS&E policies and procedures.

Position: General Foreman

Location: Kent / Sussex Boarder

Salary Guide: £450.00 Per Day (Inside IR35)

Our client is a Tier 1 D&B Contractor operating predominantly in the water industry, who are delivering a number of water and wastewater non-infrastructure projects for Southern Water, and they are recruiting for a General Foreman for one of their major projects near the Kent / Sussex Boarder.

You will report directly to the Site Manager and your role will support the Site Manager to coordinate the safe management of a section of work on major projects or control all site activities on a smaller project ensuring HSQE, programme and budget requirements are set.

The responsibilities will include:

• In conjunction with the Site Manager, co-ordinate and control initial site set-up, actively installing framework systems and procedures
• Rigorously apply and enforce methods and controls to ensure the most effective and continuous use of the frameworks resources.
• In conjunction with the Site Manager, appraise the security risk to all property under your control and install security levels commensurate to the relative values.
• Actively support the Site Manager to maintain and enforce safety standards as required by statute and in accordance with our safety policies
• Work to method statements and risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance to all HS&E policies and procedures

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

• Experience within the water treatment industry (Non-Infrastructure)
