Job summary

General Foreman role near the Kent/Sussex border with a Tier 1 D&B contractor. You will report to the Site Manager and help coordinate safe management of a section of work on major water and wastewater projects, ensuring HSQE, programme and budget requirements are met.

Salary guide £450 per day Inside IR35. Responsibilities include coordinating site setup, enforcing method statements, and maintaining safety standards in line with HS&E policies.

Qualifications

• SMSTS/SSSTS required or held.
• First Aid certification required.
• Preferably confined space trained.
• ONC or HNC in construction discipline is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and control initial site set-up with Site Manager.
• Enforce methods and controls for efficient use of framework resources.
• Assess security risks to site assets and apply appropriate security levels.

Position: General Foreman

Location: Kent / Sussex Boarder

Salary Guide: £450.00 Per Day (Inside IR35)

Our client is a Tier 1 D&B Contractor operating predominately in the water industry, who are delivering a number of water and wastewater non-infrastructure projects for Southern Water, and they are recruiting for a General Foreman for one of their major projects near the Kent / Sussex Boarder.

You will report directly to the Site Manager and your role will support the Site Manager to coordinate the safe management of a section of work on major projects or control all site activities on a smaller project ensuring HSQE, programme and budget requirements are set.

• In conjunction with the Site Manager, co-ordinate and control initial site set-up, actively installing framework systems and procedures
• Rigorously apply and enforce methods and controls to ensure the most effective and continuous use of the frameworks resources.
• In conjunction with the Site Manager, appraise the security risk to all property under your control and install security levels commensurate to the relative values.
• Actively support the Site Manager to maintain and enforce safety standards as required by statute and in accordance with our safety policies
• Work to method statements and risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance to all HS&E policies and procedures

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

• Experience within the water treatment industry (Non-Infrastructure)
