Job summary

Lanesra Technical Recruitment Ltd is seeking a General Foreman for a major project near the Kent / Sussex border. You will report to the Site Manager and co-ordinate site activities, with a focus on HSQE, programme and budget adherence.

The role requires an ONC/HNC in construction, SMSTS/SSSTS, First Aid, and ideally confined space training, with water treatment project experience.

Qualifications

• ONC or HNC in a construction discipline.
• SMSTS/SSSTS, First Aid and confined space training preferred.
• Experience in the water treatment industry (non-infrastructure) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and control initial site setup with the Site Manager.
• Install framework systems and ensure efficient use of resources.
• Assess security risk and implement appropriate measures.
• Support Site Manager to maintain safety standards and HSQE compliance.
• Work to method statements and risk assessments; ensure HS&E policy adherence.

Position: General Foreman

Location: Kent / Sussex Boarder

Salary Guide: 450.00 Per Day (Inside IR35)

Our client is a Tier 1 D&B Contractor operating predominately in the water industry, who are delivering a number of water and wastewater non-infrastructure projects for Southern Water, and they are recruiting for a General Foreman for one of their major projects near the Kent / Sussex Boarder.

You will report directly to the Site Manager and your role will support the Site Manager to coordinate the safe management of a section of work on major projects or control all site activities on a smaller project ensuring HSQE, programme and budget requirements are set.

The responsibilities will include:

• In conjunction with the Site Manager, co-ordinate and control initial site set-up, actively installing framework systems and procedures
• Rigorously apply and enforce methods and controls to ensure the most effective and continuous use of the frameworks resources.
• In conjunction with the Site Manager, appraise the security risk to all property under your control and install security levels commensurate to the relative values.
• Actively support the Site Manager to maintain and enforce safety standards as required by statue and in accordance with our safety policies
• Work to method statements and risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance to all HS&E policies and procedures

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

• Experience within the water treatment industry (Non-Infrastructure)
