Are you a confident, adaptable and enthusiastic educator looking for flexible teaching opportunities? We are seeking reliable and motivated General Cover Teachers to work across secondary schools in Staffordshire and the surrounding areas.

This is an excellent opportunity for qualified teachers and experienced educators who enjoy working in different school environments, supporting pupils' learning and making a positive difference to young people's education.

As a General Cover Teacher, you will provide classroom cover for absent teaching staff across a range of subjects, ensuring lessons run smoothly and pupils remain engaged in their learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned lessons across a variety of subjects and year groups, following the work and instructions provided by the school.
• Maintain a positive, safe and productive classroom environment.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively, promoting high standards of conduct and respect.
• Ensure pupils remain on task and complete the work set by the absent teacher.
• Adapt to different school environments, teaching requirements and pupil needs.
• Register pupils accurately and follow school procedures for attendance, safeguarding and health and safety.
• Provide appropriate support and encouragement to pupils throughout lessons.
• Report any behavioural, pastoral or safeguarding concerns promptly to the relevant school staff.
• Liaise professionally with teaching staff, pastoral teams and school leadership.
• Provide feedback on lesson completion and any issues arising during the school day.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or relevant teaching experience appropriate to the assignment.
