Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. is seeking a General Cover Teacher in the Kirkham area to work on an ad hoc basis in a welcoming secondary school environment. You will deliver pre-planned lessons across KS3/KS4, maintain a positive classroom, and adapt to various subjects with strong behaviour management.

This role offers flexible workload, competitive daily rates, and ongoing consultant support to help you balance work with other commitments. DBS update service or willingness to obtain one is required.

Qualifications

• Hold QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching in a secondary school setting.
• Confident covering a variety of subjects.
• Demonstrate excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Be flexible, reliable and able to respond to short-notice bookings.
• Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one).

Responsibilities

Are you a qualified teacher looking for flexible work within a welcoming secondary school environment? We are seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable General Cover Teacher to work on an ad hoc basis at a secondary school in the Kirkham area.

This is an ideal opportunity for teachers who enjoy variety in their working week, are confident delivering pre-set lessons across a range of subjects, and can quickly build positive relationships with students and staff.

The Role:

• Deliver engaging pre-planned lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment.

• Ensure students remain on task and complete work set by teaching staff.
• Adapt confidently to different subjects and classrooms.

The Ideal Candidate Will:
