Job summary

Amey is recruiting a General Building Operative for HMP Humber, Brough, to support essential maintenance across the site. You will perform general repairs, assist tradespeople and help keep the prison running safely and efficiently.

The role is 39 hours per week on a rota including 1 in 3 weekends, with a basic salary of £28,792 plus a 15% weekend uplift. On-site facilities include gym, free parking and catering; full training and development are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in general building maintenance or DIY.
• Basic trade skills (multi-skilled preferred).
• Reliable, team player with a strong work ethic.
• Willingness to learn and develop.
• Prison Security clearance and DBS required (we’ll support you).

Responsibilities

• General maintenance and DIY tasks across site.

• Putting up fixtures, building furniture, minor repairs.

The Role
