Job summary

Sodexo Group is seeking a proactive General Assistant Supervisor for Sellaness Lodge Accommodation Facility in Shetland. You will lead soft services, oversee cleaning and catering support, and ensure safety, quality, and client standards while rotating 3 weeks on, 3 weeks off.

The role includes supervising teams, managing schedules, and controlling budgets within a fixed shift pattern. A DBS clearance is requested; travel from Aberdeen is covered and accommodation/meals are provided, along with

• Supervisory experience in soft services (cleaning, catering or facilities).
• Strong Health & Safety and COSHH knowledge.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactive, hands-on approach with attention to detail.
• Experience managing budgets or financial performance.
• Previous experience in a rotational or remote environment.
• Recruit, train, motivate and appraise staff to ensure high performance and engagement.
• Promote positive employee relations and uphold Sodexo’s values.
• Hold regular team briefings to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

• Dute for the Assistant Manager during absences.
• Manage labour and stock costs within budget.
• Maintain appropriate stock levels and control resource use effectively.

About the Role

We’re looking for a proactive and hands-on General Assistant Supervisor to join our team at the Sellaness Lodge Accommodation Facility. This rotational role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated team while enjoying the unique lifestyle and stunning surroundings of Shetland. You’ll play a key part in overseeing our soft services — including cleaning, catering support, and general site operations — ensuring the highest standards of safety, service, and compliance are met at all times

• Travel from Aberdeen to Shetland and return is paid by Sodexo with an allowance provided towards travel from home to Aberdeen. Also, all accommodation and meals provided.

What You’ll Do:
