Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a proactive General Assistant Supervisor for Sellaness Lodge Accommodation Facility on Shetland. You will lead cleaning, catering support and site operations, ensuring safety, service and compliance. The role is rotational: 3 weeks on, 3 weeks off, 73.5 hours per week (12-hour shifts).

Travel from Aberdeen is provided, with accommodation and meals included. Salary £15.19 per hour with on-site facilities and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Proven supervisory experience within soft services (cleaning, catering, or facilities).
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety and COSHH standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Desirable: experience managing budgets or financial performance.
• Previous experience in a rotational or remote environment.
• Recruit, train, motivate, and appraise staff to ensure high performance.

• Deputise for the Assistant Manager during absences.
• Manage labour and stock costs within budget.
• Maintain appropriate stock levels and control resource use.

About the Role

We're looking for a proactive and hands-on General Assistant Supervisor to join our team at the Sellaness Lodge Accommodation Facility. This rotational role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated team while enjoying the unique lifestyle and stunning surroundings of Shetland. You'll play a key part in overseeing our soft services - including cleaning, catering support, and general site operations - ensuring the highest standards of safety, service, and compliance are met at all times

What You'll Do:
