Job summary

Chivas Brothers – Stirling Road, Dumbarton, G82 2SS is seeking a Cleaning Operative on a 6-month fixed-term contract. The role is 26 hours per week at £13.45 per hour, with a flexible rota across mornings and afternoons to support site cleanliness and safety.

You’ll join Sodexo on-site at the Chivas Kilmalid site, delivering high standards of cleaning, maintaining hygiene, and responding to daily requests. Full training is provided and variety in shifts keeps the role engaging.

Qualifications

• Cleaning experience is helpful but not essential; full training provided.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work varying shift patterns.

• Reliable and organised approach.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a high standard of cleaning across the site, including offices, communal areas, and facilities.
• Carry out daily tasks such as dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and washroom cleaning.
• Ensure all areas are clean, hygienic, and well-presented at all times.
• Proactively identify additional cleaning needs and respond to requests.
• Support periodic deep cleaning and specialist tasks.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and storage areas in a safe and organised condition.
• Follow all health, safety, and hygiene procedures.
• Work collaboratively with the wider team to deliver service excellence.

Shift Pattern (Flexible Rota)

This role operates on a rota basis, so shift times will vary week to week.

Shifts will fall within the following time windows:

• Morning shifts:
  Monday to Thursday: 9:00am – 3:00pm
  Friday: 8:00am – 12:00pm
• Afternoon shifts:
  Monday to Thursday: 2:00pm – 8:00pm
  Friday: 8:00am – 12:00pm

You will be scheduled across these shift patterns depending on business needs, so flexibility is essential.
