Job summary

SmartRecruiters, Inc. is seeking a General Assistant with a background in education catering to join our team around Swindon. The role is 32 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, with travel paid to Reading, Newbury and Basingstoke as required.

You will assist in breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner, and support barista duties while upholding food safety and service standards. We offer extensive perks including 28 days holiday pro rata, enhanced maternity leave, pension, life insurance, staff

Qualifications

• Experience in catering is preferred.
• This role is mainly in Swindon but may require travel to Reading, Newbury and Basingstoke (travel paid).
• Good Health & Safety knowledge is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and serving of breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner according to established menus and recipes.
• Barista work.
• Overtime offered when events on site.
• Maintain cleanliness of front of house areas including dishes and utensils.
• Follow proper food handling and storage procedures to ensure food safety.
• Monitor inventory levels of food and supplies and notify management of shortages or discrepancies.
• Provide friendly and efficient service to students and staff during mealtimes.
• Participate in training sessions and meetings related to food service procedures and customer service standards.
• Travel to Reading, Newbury and Basings toke as needed (travel paid).
