Job summary

Baxterstorey is seeking an experienced General Assistant to join our education catering team at a prestigious site in Westminster. You will assist with breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner, provide barista service, and ensure smooth front-of-house operations to delight students and staff.

The role emphasizes food safety, teamwork, and exceptional service, with opportunities for training and development within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering or hospitality is preferred.
• Barista experience is desirable.
• Good health and safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and serving meals and beverages according to menus.
• Provide friendly service to students and staff during mealtimes.
• Maintain cleanliness of front of house areas and organize dishes.
• Monitor inventory levels and report shortages.

Job description

• Assist in the preparation and serving of breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner according to established menus and recipes.
• Barista work
• Overtime offered when events on site
• Maintain cleanliness of the front of house areas including organising dishes and utensils.
• Following proper food handling and storage procedures to ensure food safety and prevent contamination.
• Monitor inventory levels of food and supplies and notify management of any shortages or discrepancies.
• Provide friendly and efficient service to students and staff during mealtimes, addressing any concerns or special dietary needs.
• Participate in training sessions and meeting related to food service procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standards.
• Ideally have experience working within catering
