Baxterstorey is looking for an experienced General Assistant with a background in exceptional food catering services to join our education setting. You will support breakfast to dinner service, ensuring high standards and student satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience in education catering is preferred.
• Ability to serve meals according to standards.
• Maintain front of house cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Monitor inventory and notify shortages.

Job description

• Assist in the preparation and serving of breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner according to established menus and recipes.
• Maintain cleanliness of the front of house areas including organising dishes and utensils.
• Following proper food handling and storage procedures to ensure food safety and prevent contamination.
• Monitor inventory levels of food and supplies and notify management of any shortages or discrepancies.
• Provide friendly and efficient service to students and staff during mealtimes, addressing any concerns or special dietary needs.
• Participate in training sessions and meeting related to food service procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standards. Ideally have experience working within Education catering
• Have good Health & Safety knowledge.
• Flexible with a can-do attitude, customer focused.
