Job summary

Aramark UK is recruiting a General Service Assistant at Alexander Barracks, Pirbright, GU24 0QQ. This permanent, full‑time role offers 35 hours per week over 5 days (including some weekends) with a pay rate of £12.71 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+.
• Eligibility to work in the UK.
• Food hygiene Level 2 desirable.
• Full training provided.
• Own or reliable transport due to remote location.
• Able to work a variety of shifts.

Responsibilities

• Serve food and beverages to customers.
• Clean back of house areas, crockery, and cutlery.
• Clean and tidy counter, light equipment, preparation, and public areas.
• Perform basic cold food preparation and made-to-order services.
• Restock goods and ensure displays are correct.
• Report feedback, stock needs, breakages, faults or hazards to line manager.

Whatyou’llbe doing:

As a General Service Assistant,you’llbe front and centre in delivering a welcoming experience to our customers. Your day-to-day will include:

• Serve food and beverages to customers
• Clean back of house areas,crockery,and cutlery
• Clean and tidy counter, light equipment/machines,preparation,and public areas
• Perform basic cold food preparation and made to order services
• Restock goods and ensureappropriate displaysof merchandise
• Report to line manager any feedback, complaints, suggestions, stock needs, breakages,faults,or hazardsidentifiedduringthe work
• Perform daily paperwork
• Follow food hygiene and safety procedures.

Whatwe’relooking for:

• A friendly, customer-focused attitude
• Previousexperience in food service or hospitality is a bonus – but not essential, full training provided
• Must be18+
• Eligibility to work in the UK and have lived in the UK forat least 3 years(security clearancerequired)
• Food hygiene certificate - Level 2 desirable. Relevant training will be provided
• Basic numeracy skills.
• Own or reliable transportrequireddue to remote location and limited public transport
• Ability to work a variety of shifts.
