Job summary

Aramark UK is seeking a Zero-hour General Assistant to join our Northwood HQ team. You will serve food and beverages, keep areas clean, restock merchandise, and support daily operations in a welcoming environment.

This permanent, zero-hours role offers rotating shifts from 05:30 to 20:00, on-site parking, gym access, discounted meals, and a strong path for training and progression within a values-driven, Disability Confident and Forces Friendly employer.

Qualifications

• Friendly, customer-focused attitude.
• Previous experience in food service or hospitality is a bonus, but not essential.
• Must be 18+ and eligible to work in the UK with residency requirements.
• Food hygiene Level 2 desirable; training provided.
• Own or reliable transport due to remote location and limited public transport.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts.

Responsibilities

• Serve food and beverages to customers.
• Clean back-of-house areas, crockery, and cutlery.
• Clean and tidy counter, light equipment, preparation, and public areas.
• Perform basic cold food preparation and made-to-order services.
• Restock goods and ensure displays are attractive.
• Report feedback, stock needs, faults, or hazards to the line manager.
• Complete daily paperwork and follow hygiene procedures.

Pay rate: £13.45 per hour
Contract type: Permanent, zero-hours, as required
Shift times: Rotating shifts between 0530 and 2000

What you’ll do:

As a General Service Assistant,you’llbe front and centre in delivering a welcoming experience to our customers. Your day-to-day will include:

• Serve food and beverages to customers
• Clean back of house areas,crockery,and cutlery
• Clean and tidy counter, light equipment/machines,preparation,and public areas
• Perform basic cold food preparation and made to order services
• Restock goods and ensureappropriate displaysof merchandise
• Report to line manager any feedback, complaints, suggestions, stock needs, breakages,faults,or hazardsidentifiedduringthe work
• Perform daily paperwork
• Follow food hygiene and safety procedures.

What we’re looking for:

• Eligibility to work in the UK and have lived in the UK forat least 3 years(security clearancerequired)
• Food hygiene certificate - Level 2 desirable. Relevant training will be providedBasic numeracy skills.
