Job summary

Aramark UK is recruiting a General Service Assistant to deliver a welcoming experience for customers at Claro Barracks. You will handle front-line service, food and beverage tasks, and maintain cleanliness across back-of-house and public areas.

The role requires 18+, UK work eligibility, and a Food Hygiene certificate (training provided if needed). Part-time, 30 hours per week with varied shifts, including weekends, with an hourly pay rate of £12.71.

Qualifications

• Eligibility to work in the UK and have lived in the UK for at least 3 years (security clearance required).
• Food hygiene certificate held or training provided.
• Basic numeracy skills expected.
• Own or reliable transport due to limited public transport in remote location.

Responsibilities

• Serve food and beverages to customers.

• Clean and tidy counter, equipment, preparation, and public areas.
• Perform basic cold food preparation and made-to-order services.
• Restock goods and ensure displays of merchandise.

Job description

As a General Service Assistant, you'll be front and centre in delivering a welcoming experience to our customers. Your day-to-day will include:

• Serve food and beverages to customers
• Clean back of house areas, crockery, and cutlery
• Clean and tidy counter, light equipment/machines, preparation, and public areas
• Perform basic cold food preparation and made to order services
• Restock goods and ensure appropriate displays of merchandise
• Report to line manager any feedback, complaints, suggestions, stock needs, breakages, faults, or hazards identified during the work
• Perform daily paperwork
• Keep diligent records as required
• Follow food hygiene and safety procedures

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service or hospitality is a bonus - but not essential, full training provided
• Must be 18+
• Eligibility to work in the UK and have lived in the UK for at least 3 years (security clearance required)
• Food hygiene certificate
• Level 2 desirable. Relevant training will be provided
• Basic numeracy skills
• Own or reliable transport required due to remote location and limited public transport
• Ability to work a variety of shifts
