Job summary

The Speedy Group UK&I is seeking a depot operative for a fixed-term role of 3 months with flexible hours. The position includes deliveries, stock handling and customer service at the hire desk, contributing to a smooth-running depot.

You will work both independently and with colleagues, with opportunities to develop skills and contribute to ESG initiatives while benefiting from the company’s Life Assurance, Pension, and other employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Driving licence required.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to adapt quickly to support others.
• Ability to support ESG initiatives – Decade to Deliver.

Responsibilities

• Assist with deliveries and collections across the depot.
• Help with vehicle loading/unloading and stock control.
• Assist customers at the hire desk and provide service.
• Perform electrical testing of equipment where required.
• Collaborate with colleagues to keep the depot running smoothly.

Fixed Term - 3 Months

Salary £29,572 per annum pro rata

Working in all areas of the depot, you will play a busy but key role in making sure our depot runs smoothly. On a day-to‑day basis, you can expect to be working both independently and directly with other colleagues in any area of the depot. This can include: making deliveries and/or collections, assisting with vehicle loading/unloading, electrical testing of our equipment, stock control, or serving customers on the hire desk.
