Job summary

Speedy is seeking a General Assistant in Grimsby to support depot operations, including deliveries, stock control, and customer service at the hire desk. The role requires working across all depot areas with a focus on helping the depot run smoothly.

The position offers flexible hours with a 42-hour work week and a salary of £29,572 per annum pro rata, plus benefits such as life assurance, pension, canteen facilities, and training opportunities.

• Driving licence is required
• Basic computer skills are required
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to adapt quickly to support others

Responsibilities

Working in all areas of the depot, you will play a busy but key role in making sure our depot runs smoothly. On a day-to-day basis, you can expect to be working both independently and directly with other colleagues in any area of the depot. This can include: making deliveries and/or collections, assisting with vehicle loading/unloading, electrical testing of our equipment, stock control, or serving customers on the hire desk.
