Job summary

Speedy Hire Plc. in Barnstaple is recruiting a General Assistant to support depot operations. You will work across the depot, sometimes independently, other times with colleagues, handling deliveries, loading/unloading, testing equipment, stock control and serving customers at the hire desk.

Flexible hours and a 42-hour week are available, with a pro rata salary of £29,572 per year. The role offers life assurance, pension, canteen facilities and numerous staff benefits.

Qualifications

• Driving licence required.
• Basic computer skills expected.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to adapt quickly to support others.

Responsibilities

• Make deliveries and/or collections.

Job Title - General Assistant

Location: Barnstaple - Monday - Friday - 42 Hours

Salary - £29,572 Per annum pro rata

Working in all areas of the depot, you will play a busy but key role in making sure our depot runs smoothly. On a day-to-day basis, you can expect to be working both independently and directly with other colleagues in any area of the depot. This can include: making deliveries and/or collections, assisting with vehicle loading/unloading, electrical testing of our equipment, stock control, or serving customers on the hire desk.
