Job summary

dnata Catering UK are actively seeking General Assistants to join our team at Newcastle. This role supports catering operations to ensure timely delivery to airline customers, in line with scheduling requirements.

You may work in Production, Equipment, Wash, or Search and Seal areas. Responsibilities include food prep, packing, stock checks, and paperwork. Must be able to handle pork and alcohol; able to stand long hours and work in a chilled environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to handle pork and alcohol products.
• Must be prepared to stand for long periods of time and have good mobility.
• Must be prepared to work in a chilled environment.
• Basic understanding of English.

Responsibilities

• Production: Preparing and plating food; Handling of packed food goods; Packing amenity kits and flight condiments.
• Equipment: Stacking shelves; Rotation of stock; Re-ordering of dry stock.
• Wash: General cleaning; Waste removal; Washing airline equipment to industry standards.
• Search and Seal: Inspecting goods, check stock for damages, complete paperwork.

As a General Assistant you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our catering and goods arrive with our airline customers on time in line with various scheduling requirements.

Pay rate: £13.20 Per Hour

Key Responsibilities

As a General Assistant you will be working in one of the following areas within our business:

• Production:
• Preparing and plating food
• Handling of packed food goods
• Packing amenity kits and flight condiments

• Equipment:
• Stacking shelves
• Rotation of stock
• Re-ordering of dry stock

• Wash:
• General cleaning
• Waste removal
• Washing airline equipment to industry standards

• Search and Seal:
• Inspecting goods ensuring there is no prohibited items
• Checking stock for any damages
• Completion of paperwork

Please note your duties will include but are not limited to the above
