Job summary

BaxterStorey is seeking a General Assistant with a background in exceptional food catering services to join our Stafford team. Experience is preferred but not essential, with a focus on delivering high standards in front-of-house service.

You will assist in food preparation, service and ensuring safety and cleanliness across the dining areas, contributing to a positive guest experience and supporting events when required.

Qualifications

• Experience in contract catering or hospitality is preferred.
• Good Health & Safety knowledge.
• Flexible with a can-do attitude and customer focus.
• Team player with a positive, enthusiastic approach.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and serving of breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner according to established menus and recipes.
• Maintain front of house cleanliness and organise dishes and utensils.
• Follow proper food handling and storage procedures to ensure safety.
• Monitor inventory levels of food and supplies and notify management of shortages.
• Assist with filling vending machines and maintaining their cleanliness.
• Provide friendly and efficient service to customers front of house and at events.
• Participate in training sessions on food service procedures, safety protocols and customer service standards.

Job Description

As a General Assistant you will…

• Assist in the preparation and serving of breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner according to established menus and recipes.
• Maintain cleanliness of the front of house areas including organising dishes and utensils.
• Following proper food handling and storage procedures to ensure food safety and prevent contamination.
• Monitor inventory levels of food and supplies and notify management of any shortages or discrepancies.
• Assist with filling vending machines and maintaining their cleanliness
• Provide friendly and efficient service to our customers front of house and in hospitality/events settings.
• Participate in training sessions and meeting related to food service procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standards.

Qualifications

• Ideally have experience working within contract catering and/or hospitality.
• Have good Health & Safety knowledge.
• Flexible with a can-do attitude, customer focused.
• Fun and enthusiastic
• Have excellent organization skills.
• Demonstrate great attention to detail.
