Job summary

Speedy Hire, the UK’s leading hire provider, is seeking a General Assistant in Bury St Edmunds. In this hands-on depot role you’ll work alongside colleagues, handling deliveries, stock checks and customer service at the hire desk.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driving licence.
• Basic computer literacy is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to support others and the business unit.
• Ability to contribute to delivering the ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver.

Responsibilities

• Make deliveries and/or collections.
• Assist with loading/unloading of vehicles.
• Conduct electrical testing of equipment.
• Maintain stock control and accuracy.
• Serve customers at the hire desk.

General Assistant - Bury St Edmunds

Salary £29,572 Per Annum

Working in all areas of the depot, you will play a busy but key role in making sure our depot runs smoothly. On a day-to-day basis, you can expect to be working both independently and directly with other colleagues in any area of the depot. This can include: making deliveries and/or collections, assisting with vehicle loading/unloading, electrical testing of our equipment, stock control, or serving customers on the hire desk.
