Job summary

Holroyd Howe is hiring a General Assistant at Bishops Stortford to support breakfast, lunch and dinner service in a prestigious school setting. You will maintain front-of-house cleanliness, assist in meal prep and serve students and staff during busy mealtimes with a friendly, customer-focused approach.

Salary: £12.71 per hour, 8 hrs per day, 35 weeks per year

This prestigious, international7 day operation boarding schoolcaters for 517 day pupils as well as 387 boarders and staff and includes not only a breakfast, lunch and supper service but also an extensive hospitality service. This operates 7days a week.

As a General Assistantyou will…

• Assist in the preparation and serving of breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner according to established menus and recipes.
• Maintain cleanliness of the front of house areas including organising dishes and utensils.
• Following proper food handling and storage procedures to ensure food safety and prevent contamination.
• Monitor inventory levels of food and supplies and notify management of any shortages or discrepancies.
• Provide friendly and efficient service to students and staff during mealtimes, addressing any concerns or special dietary needs.
• Participate in training sessions and meeting related to food service procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standards.
