Job summary

Holroyd Howe is seeking a General Assistant to join our education catering team at an international seven-day operation boarding school in Bishop's Stortford. You will help serve meals, maintain front-of-house cleanliness, and support food safety and dietary needs across breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The role emphasizes teamwork, training opportunities, and a commitment to high standards in a fast-paced, school setting.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and serving of breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner according to established menus and recipes
  • Maintain cleanliness of the front of house areas including organising dishes and utensils
  • Following proper food handling and storage procedures to ensure food safety and prevent contamination
  • Monitor inventory levels of food and supplies and notify management of any shortages or discrepancies
  • Provide friendly and efficient service to students and staff during mealtimes, addressing any concerns or special dietary needs
  • Participate in training sessions and meeting related to food service procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standards

Salary: £12.71 per hour, 8 hrs per day, 35 weeks per year

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced General Assistantwith a background in exceptional food catering services to join our business and work at one of our highly prestigious education settings.

This prestigious, international7 day operation boarding schoolcaters for 517 day pupils as well as 387 boarders and staff and includes not only a breakfast, lunch and supper service but also an extensive hospitality service. This operates 7days a week.
