Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior engineering lead to own technical direction and delivery quality across one or two small teams in Leeds. You will work closely with product managers and senior business stakeholders, delivering production-grade software and hands-on solutions, while mentoring engineers in AI-native practices and GenAI tooling.

You will set engineering standards, drive end-to-end ownership, and translate technical constraints into business language to keep delivery pace aligned with

Qualifications

Production-grade software development experience with Python, C# .NET, or similar.
Strong systems thinking and engineering depth.
Experience with AI tooling fundamentals and GenAI platforms.

Responsibilities

Own technical direction and delivery quality across one or two small teams.
Work alongside product managers and senior business stakeholders.
Build solutions as a hands-on individual contributor.
Mentor engineers and develop judgement on using AI tooling.
Set standards for solving technical problems and ensure accountability.
Build and maintain integrations, MCP builds, API connections, and infrastructure supporting GenAI platform.
Represent engineering with senior stakeholders and translate between technical design and business needs.
