Job summary

EY UK in Manchester is seeking a Senior Consultant specialising in generative AI to design and build GenAI solutions for clients. This hands-on, delivery-focused role involves building key components, supporting architecture, and leading client teams from design through to production.

The ideal candidate has experience delivering GenAI or AI/ML projects, strong engineering skills, and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Hands-on engineering experience delivering software or data solutions, including GenAI/AI/ML projects.

Responsibilities

• Build GenAI solution components: RAG pipelines, prompt orchestration, tool-calling integrations, and APIs.
• Support the solution architecture and contribute to design decisions within your components.
• Ensure components are reliable, secure, and cost-aware.
• Contribute to delivery execution including testing and debugging.
• Apply engineering standards and accelerators to projects.
• Take ownership of quality and timeliness of deliverables.
