Job summary

Pencil is hiring an Art Director proficient with GenAI to lead creative production across advertising, digital and print. You will translate briefs into output that aligns with campaign goals and brand identity, delivering high-quality work under tight timelines.

Working directly with clients and internal teams, you’ll shape AI-driven storytelling while collaborating with Producers, the Creative Director and Product to refine tools and workflows. Portfolio required.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Art Director or similar in advertising or digital production.
• Hands-on experience with GenAI tools across image, video and design generation.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud or equivalent design tools.
• Comfortable presenting creative work directly to clients.
• A strong eye for visual identity, brand consistency and craft.
• Portfolio to showcase your work.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver assets across formats using GenAI tools.
• Translate briefs into output that matches objectives and visual identity.
• Support flagship projects and maintain quality across deliverables.
• Brief and review daily output, with hands-on guidance rather than management.
• Present with confidence to clients on AI creative workflows.
• Provide feedback on tools, workflows and UX to support product improvement.
