Job summary

GE Vernova’s Power Conversion & Storage offers a Graduate Engineering Training Programme (GETP) with four 6-month rotations commencing mid-September 2026. The programme leads to IET accreditation and fosters mentorship and professional development.

You will apply your software, automation and control skills while gaining exposure to project management and quality, supported by a Buddy system and senior guidance.

Qualifications

• Education: 2:1 degree in software engineering, computer science, cybersecurity, robotic/mechatronic engineering or related fields.
• Skills: passion for problem-solving in engineering and technology.
• Eligibility: UK unrestricted work authorization and ability to obtain Security Cleared clearance.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a 24-month GETP with four 6-month rotations starting mid-September 2026.
• Gain experience across software, automation & control teams and exposure to project management and quality.

Graduate Engineering Training Programme (GETP):

• Duration:24 months, featuring four 6-month rotations starting mid-September 2026
• Accreditation:IET accredited programme
• Community:Network with fellow graduates and placement students. Benefit from the ‘Buddy’ programme for guidance from current graduates.
• Development:Access mentorship, professional registration support, and specialized training.
• Gain Experience:Apply your skills within our software, automation & control teams and gain exposure to business areas like project management and quality.

Candidate Requirements:

• Education:2:1 degree in software engineering, computer science, cybersecurity, robotic/ mechatronic engineering or related fields.
• Skills:Passion for problem-solving in engineering and technology.
• Eligibility:Unrestricted, permanent work authorization for the UK (no visa sponsorship) and ability to achieve Security Cleared clearance level from UK Security Vetting.
