Power Conversion

Our Power portfolio provides sustainable, more efficient energy solutions. With expertise across Gas, Hydro, Nuclear, and Steam Power, we help customers deliver electricity to homes, industries, and communities worldwide.

Let’s Talk about the Role

The I&E Services Engineer will provide essential technical support through the delivery of reactive and planned maintenance, fault diagnosis, and the commissioning of electrical systems for our customers.

You will act as a key technical representative on customer sites, ensuring that industrial power and automation systems operate at peak performance. By combining hands‑on technical expertise with a customer‑focused approach, you will diagnose issues, implement robust repairs, and support the successful delivery of projects to time and budget. You will thrive in an environment that balances independent site‑based work with collaborative team efforts, all while maintaining our high standards for safety and operational excellence.

How You Will Make a Difference

  • Delivering expert installation, commissioning, and maintenance of HV and LV drives and PLC‑based automation systems across diverse industrial environments.
  • Managing end-to‑end fault diagnosis and repair activities, providing both remote and on‑site support to minimize customer downtime.
  • Ensuring safety and compliance by preparing detailed risk assessments, method statements, and professional site reports.
  • Collaborating with internal teams and customers to identify opportunities for service growth and technical improvements.
  • Supporting 24/7 service requirements, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to maintaining critical infrastructure for our clients.
  • Updating technical documentation and equipment drawings to ensure accurate records for future service activities.

Special Role Requirements

  • Able to travel extensively to and from projects and various field assignments.
  • Willing to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as required by field assignments.
  • Ability to spend considerable time away from home for training and field assignments.

Skills for Success

You should be a motivated technical professional who thrives on variety and problem‑solving, with:

  • The ability to interpret complex electronic and electrical engineering drawings and circuit diagrams.
  • The capability to diagnose and resolve issues with variable speed drives and PC/PLC equipment.
  • An understanding of EHS legislations and commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards on‑site.
  • An expertise in electrical or power electronics engineering, gained through practical experience or formal training.
  • A keen interest in delivering high‑quality service and fostering long‑term relationships with customers.

A formal education or a recognized engineering apprenticeship in an electrical or power electronics discipline is a great foundation, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.
