Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a GCSE Science Tutor to deliver engaging tuition across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics for KS3/GCSE students. The role involves personalising lesson plans, bridging KS3 and GCSE concepts, and strengthening exam readiness while supporting SEN learners.

The position is a temporary, part-time role with flexible hours, based in the UK. Applicants should have at least 1 year of teaching or tutoring experience and hold the right to work in the UK, plus an Enhanced DBS

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of tutoring or teaching experience in Science at KS3/GCSE level.
Strong subject knowledge and the ability to explain concepts clearly.
Right to work in the UK.
Must have, or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS check.
QTS or a Science related degree.
Experience preparing students for GCSE exams.
Experience supporting learners with SEN.

Responsibilities

Deliver engaging tuition across GCSE Science (Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics).
Consolidate KS3 knowledge while introducing key GCSE concepts to strengthen exam prep.
Personalise lesson plans to target gaps in understanding and build learner confidence.
Support students with SEN by adapting teaching methods to ensure accessibility and motivation.
