Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a GCSE Science Tutor to deliver engaging tuition across Biology, Chemistry and/or Physics for KS3/ GCSE learners in Staffordshire. The role offers flexible hours and a temporary/part-time arrangement, with DBS checks required.

Experience supporting learners with SEN is desirable and candidates must have the right to work in the UK and be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS check to qualify for this post.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of tutoring or teaching experience in Science at KS3/GCSE level.
• Strong subject knowledge and the ability to explain concepts clearly.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Must have, or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS check.

Job Title: GCSE Science Tutor

Pay Rate: £25-£35 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging tuition across GCSE Science (Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics).
• Consolidate KS3 knowledge while introducing key GCSE concepts to strengthen exam prep.

• Support students with SEN by adapting teaching methods to ensure accessibility and motivation.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of tutoring or teaching experience in Science at KS3/GCSE level.

Desired:

• QTS or a Science related degree.
