Job summary

Learning Curve Group is seeking a part-time Post 16 Maths Tutor to support learners in GCSE and Functional Skills in Sheldon, Birmingham. You will deliver engaging maths sessions, assess learner needs, and tailor learning experiences with ILPs and regular reviews.

You will work with a team of maths and English tutors, supported by subject managers and other tutors to ensure a high-quality learning experience.

Qualifications

• Qualified Maths Tutor with at least L3 specialism.
• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience GCSE/FS.
• Teaching Qualification (at least a L3)

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging GCSE and Functional Skills maths sessions.
• Assess learners' starting points and identify development needs.
• Plan and deliver tailored learning experiences meeting internal/external expectations.
• Complete Individual Learning Plans with SMART targets and regular reviews.
• Complete administrative tasks including learner registers, reviews and documentation.
• Collaborate with vocational colleagues to support learner progression.
• Ensure assessments and documentation meet awarding body requirements.
• Participate in team meetings, standardisation and internal moderation.
• Promote safe working practices in line with safeguarding and health and safety policies.
• Deliver CPD based on your skills and experience.
• Create learning environments that support transitions to work or further study
