Job summary

Prospero Teaching is recruiting a GCSE Maths Tutor to provide focused 1:1 tuition to a learner in Warrington. The role involves delivering tailored GCSE Maths sessions, assessing gaps, planning targeted lessons and supporting exam preparation.

The ideal candidate will have GCSE Maths tutoring experience, a solid knowledge of the GCSE curriculum, and the ability to differentiate to meet individual learner needs. DBS and right to work in the UK are preferred.

Prospero Teaching are recruiting for an enthusiastic GCSE Maths Tutor to provide focused 1:1 tuition to a young person in Warrington.

We're looking for someone who can make challenging topics easier to understand, identify gaps in knowledge and help the learner develop both their mathematical ability and confidence.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver individual GCSE Maths tuition
• Assess the learner's current level and areas for development
• Plan targeted lessons based on individual needs
• Reinforce key curriculum topics
• Support revision and exam preparation
• Adapt explanations and resources where necessary
• Track progress and provide constructive feedback

Candidate Requirements

• Experience teaching or tutoring GCSE Maths
• Strong knowledge of the GCSE Maths curriculum
• Previous 1:1 tuition experience advantageous
• Ability to differentiate and adapt lessons
• Positive and motivating teaching style
• QTS, PGCE or relevant tutoring experience desirable
• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
• Right to Work in the UK
• Two professional child-related references
