Job summary

Prospero Teaching are seeking experienced GCSE Maths Tutors to support learners in Chester. You will deliver personalised 1:1 tuition to secondary students, identifying gaps and adapting lessons to meet individual needs.

The goal is to strengthen Maths skills and build confidence to achieve academic targets. Flexibility offered with 5–15 hours per week, starting September 2026, continuing on an ongoing basis.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching or tutoring GCSE Maths.
• Strong knowledge of the GCSE curriculum.
• QTS, PGCE or equivalent desirable.
• 1:1 tuition experience is advantageous.
• Ability to identify and address learning gaps.
• Patient and engaging approach to teaching.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalised tuition to secondary-aged learners.

Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting experienced GCSE Maths Tutors to support learners across Chester!

The Opportunity

Are you a passionate Maths teacher or experienced tutor looking for flexible 1:1 work? We are looking for confident GCSE Maths Tutors to provide personalised tuition to secondary-aged learners who require additional support with their education. You will work closely with individual students, identifying gaps in their knowledge and adapting sessions to suit their individual learning needs. The aim is to help learners strengthen their Maths skills, improve their confidence and work towards their academic goals.
