Job summary

TeacherActive is partnering with a thriving mainstream college in Maidenhead to recruit a GCSE Maths Teacher for a temporary assignment. The role focuses on delivering engaging lessons, supporting resits, and helping students build confidence to achieve their GCSE goals in a welcoming college environment.

The successful candidate will have a maths degree with QTS/PGCE/DTTLS, experience in a diverse setting, and a current DBS update. Excellent communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• A first class or 2:1 degree in Maths.
• QTS, PGCE or DTTLS and experience in a further educational environment.
• Experience teaching young people in a diverse setting.
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
• SEND and Safeguarding experience is desirable.
• DBS on the update service

Responsibilities

• Teach GCSE Maths to students, including resits.
• Build learners' confidence and raise aspirations within a supportive department.
• Deliver engaging lessons following high-quality schemes of learning.
• Support students to overcome barriers and achieve their GCSE goals.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced

GCSE Maths Teacher to join the team on a temporary basis. This is an exciting opportunity to teach a subject you are passionate about, while helping to motivate and support resit students as they work towards achieving their GCSE

As a GCSE

Maths Teacher, you will play a vital role in building learners' confidence, raising aspirations, and delivering engaging lessons that help students overcome barriers and reach their goals. You will work within a supportive department, following and implementing high-quality schemes of learning while making a real difference to young people's futures.
