Position: GCSE Maths Lecturer

  • Location: Birmingham
  • Salary: £15.38 per hour
  • Hours: 12 hours per week
  • Employment Type: Temporary to November

Role Overview:

We are seeking a GCSE Lecturer to join our team. You will teach Maths to young people engaged in creative programmes of study including music, media and games development. You will make maths relevant to our young people through your inclusive lesson plannind and delivery. You will mark and assess learner work, setting high expectations and motivating them to be the best they can be. You will have an understanding of methods and good practice in reviewing and evaluating teaching and learning and behaviour management strategies.

About You:

You will be a role model, providing learners with an exceptional educational experience that will enable them to maximise their potential. You will have up to date knowledge and an understanding of the GCSE Maths curiculum and experience with exam board requirements. You will hold GCSE Maths and English at Grade 5 (or equivalent) or above and will have a degree in a related subject.

A successful track record of delivering GCSE maths would be the icing on the cake, however this could be an ideal development opportunity for a newly qualified teacher or Maths graduate looking at getting into teaching.

You will work with experienced, passionate tutors as well as within a support service provided by our Central team. Working at Access Creative College means working with learners who are engaged and enthusiastic about the education they are gaining.
