Job summary

Merton College is seeking a bank of variable hours Examination Invigilators to manage GCSE examinations, including November, January, May and June.

You will ensure venues comply with awarding body regulations, collect exam materials, monitor entry, disrupt items storage, open and distribute papers, and maintain attendance registers while overseeing up to 400 candidates. You’ll work reliably and calmly under pressure as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure examination venues are arranged in compliance with awarding body regulations.
• Collect exam materials punctually from the exams office before the start of examinations.
• Manage entry of candidates into venues and ensure belongings are stored securely.
• Open and distribute question papers and complete the attendance register.
• Maintain vigilance and supervise the entire duration of the examination.
