Job summary

Oliver Bernard is seeking a strong GCP and Platform Engineer to join a leading FinTech in London with flexible remote options. You will support and evolve cloud solutions, CI/CD pipelines, and automated infrastructure, ensuring reliability, scalability and security.

Ideal candidates have DevOps/SRE/Cloud Engineering experience, deep GCP knowledge (Data Proc, Data Flow, BigQuery) and hands-on IaC tooling (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet). CI/CD with Jenkins and familiarity with Hadoop are a plus.

Qualifications

• {This role requires experience in DevOps, SRE or Cloud Engineering.
• Expertise in Google Cloud Platform (Data Proc, Data Flow, BigQuery).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Puppet.
• Experience with Kubernetes containers; Docker is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Jenkins.
• Big Data/Hadoop experience is a plus.

Our client is one of the world’s leading FinTechs.

With a global reach, they build award winning trading, payment and banking software.

They’re growing in London (with great WFH flexibility) and are looking for a strong GCP and Platform Engineer to join them to support and evolve their Cloud solution, tooling, CI/CD pipelines, automated infrastructure and release engineering.

You’ll manage platforms to ensure reliability, scalability and security and you’ll be able to develop and implement systems enhancements, design new automated infrastructure and implement deployment pipelines in a sophisticated Cloud (GCP) environment as well as researching new tools.

You’ll be part of a central team working to deliver complex projects through agile methods and you’ll need a desire to continually improve your own skills, to look for efficiencies, optimisations, and ways to improve through automation.

Requirements:

• Experience in a similar DevOps, SRE or Cloud Engineering role
• Great knowledge of the Google Cloud Platform – Data Proc, Data Flow, Big Query etc
• Experience of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Puppet etc.
• Experience with Kubernetes containers (Docker useful too)
• Good knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Jenkins
• Experience with Big Data and Hadoop would be ideal too
