We’re partnering with a leading UK insurance business that is building out a modern, cloud-native data platform to support its growing data and analytics capabilities. As part of this journey, they’re looking for a Senior GCP Data Platform Engineer to take ownership of the infrastructure, automation and platform capabilities that underpin the wider Data Engineering function.
This is a senior individual contributor role suited to someone who enjoys building, owning and evolving cloud platforms. You’ll have the autonomy to make decisions, drive technical improvements and deliver outcomes without requiring constant oversight, whilst working closely with Data Engineering and Platform teams.
The environment is highly collaborative and pragmatic, with a strong focus on enabling teams through automation, self-service tooling and engineering best practice.
This is an opportunity to join a business that is investing heavily in its data platform and cloud capabilities. You’ll be given genuine ownership of a critical platform area, working on modern technologies and helping shape how data engineering is delivered across the organisation. The role combines strategic influence with hands‑on engineering and would suit someone who enjoys building scalable, reusable platform capabilities while remaining close to the technology.
