Job summary

Oliver Bernard’s client, a world-leading hedge fund, seeks an experienced GCP/Cloud Engineer to help design and implement cloud-based trading platforms. From day one you’ll contribute to strategy and automation across the cloud.

You’ll collaborate with UNIX/Linux, Network and Data Engineering teams and use Python, Kubernetes, Ansible and Terraform to deliver low-latency infrastructure powering trading operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in a GCP/Cloud/SRE/DevOps role.
• Design, implement and support GCP solutions; AWS experience helpful.
• Strong Linux/infrastructure engineering (networking, storage, firewall) knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Help design and implement cloud-based trading platforms and drive automation.

Our client is one of the world's leading hedge funds. Through cutting edge technology and innovative trading strategies they have been at the forefront of finance and technology for over 20 years.

Their Infrastructure and Cloud DevOps team builds sophisticated, low latency platforms on which the company’s trading operations are based.

GCP and cloud computing is allowing them to modernise infrastructure, automate workloads and drive next-generation innovation.

They’re looking for an experienced GCP / Cloud Engineer to join them. From day one you’ll be involved in the strategy, design, development, and implementation of projects in the cloud.

You’ll work closely with UNIX / Linux, Network and Data Engineering teams and be able to work with a variety of technologies, including Python and Kubernetes, Ansible and Terraform.

You’ll have real ownership of your work and this a unique opportunity at a very prestigious trading firm.

Requirements

• Experience in a similar GCP / Cloud / SRE / DevOps Engineering role
• Great knowledge of designing, implementing and supporting GCP solutions (AWS would be useful too)
• Good understanding of Linux and infrastructure engineering (networking, firewalls, storage etc)
• Experience with tools such as Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform etc
