Job summary

Cranleigh Scientific is seeking a QC Chemist for a hands-on laboratory role based in Rugby, Warwickshire. The role focuses on analytical testing, quality control, and providing technical support to ensure products meet specifications.

The successful candidate will perform QC testing, prepare CoAs, maintain equipment, and collaborate with Production and Technical teams to support site operations. A chemistry degree and GC-MS experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Practical GC-MS experience is essential.
• Chemistry degree or equivalent laboratory experience.
• Ideally 2+ years' experience within an industrial QC laboratory.
• Knowledge of UV-Vis and other analytical techniques.
• Experience with solvents and knowledge of REACH, CLP and COSHH would be advantageous

Responsibilities

• Carry out QC testing of raw materials and finished products using GC-MS and other analytical techniques
• Analyse results and prepare Certificates of Analysis (CoAs)
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment
• Investigate quality issues and support corrective actions
• Ensure compliance with laboratory safety procedures and COSHH
• Work closely with Production and Technical teams to support site operations
