Job summary

Cranleigh Scientific is seeking a QC Chemist for a hands-on laboratory role in Rugby. You will perform QC testing on raw materials and finished products, using GC-MS and other analytical techniques, and ensure products meet specifications.

The role involves analysing results, preparing CoAs, maintaining and calibrating equipment, and supporting corrective actions. COSHH and safety compliance are integral to daily tasks.

Qualifications

• GC-MS experience is essential.
• Chemistry degree or equivalent laboratory experience.
• 2+ years in an industrial QC laboratory is preferred.
• Knowledge of UV-Vis and other analytical techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with solvents and familiarity with REACH, CLP and COSHH is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carry out QC testing of raw materials and finished products using GC-MS and other analytical techniques.
• Analyse results and prepare Certificates of Analysis (CoAs).
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment.
• Investigate quality issues and support corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with laboratory safety procedures and COSHH.
• Work closely with Production and Technical teams to support site operations.
