Job summary

MBDA is seeking a systems engineer in Stevenage to guide technology from concept to in-service deployment, influencing products and engineering methods. You will lead cross-disciplinary teams, drive trade studies, and ensure overall system architecture aligns with mission requirements.

You will bridge international project teams and the delivery organisation, applying SysML, DOORS, and Rhapsody to modernise workflows and deepen RF/electronics expertise.

Qualifications

• Experience leading system design for high-stakes defence programs.
• Ability to act as a technical bridge between international project teams and delivery.
• Strong leadership in architecture, verification, and validation strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead the system design for data links and oversee software/firmware/hardware implementation teams.
• Architect and execute comprehensive V&V strategies for multi-domain performance.
• Partner with Equipment Design Authority and Testing to ensure field readiness.
