Seco Support is recruiting Support Workers for Yonah in Gateshead. You will provide person-centred support to an active individual living at home, with autism and related challenges. The role requires cultural awareness and sensitivity to Orthodox-Jewish practices, with a focus on safety, empathy, and daily living assistance.

The team emphasizes training, ongoing learning, and a supportive environment. Full induction and DBS checks are required; driving license preferred.

Formación

• Experience supporting adults with autism.
• Able to work in a culturally sensitive environment (Orthodox-Jewish practices).
• Strong communication and empathy are essential.

Responsabilidades

• Put Yonah first and value him as an individual.
• Be culturally aware of Orthodox-Judaism and Yonah's needs.
• Support Yonah with autism, understand sensory needs, and help with daily living skills.
• Support through tough times with patience and empathy.
• Be reliable, trustworthy, and set clear boundaries while following routines.
• Communicate effectively and stay flexible and creative when needed.
