Job summary

South Western Railway is seeking a Gateline Assistant to join the station team and deliver a safe, welcoming experience for customers. You will oversee ticket gates, help travellers with tickets, and guide people around the station to ensure smooth journeys.

The role involves being the first point of contact, providing information, and supporting customers during busy periods and disruptions. A positive attitude and strong communication are essential.

Responsibilities

• Often the first port of call for our customers, information or help with their tickets.
• Ensure the safe operation of ticket gates and manage the flow of customers through the gates during busy times.
• If there is disruption, direct customers, keeping them safe and informed.
