Job summary

LJ Recruitment is seeking an experienced Gate Engineer to join a busy team to install, service, maintain and repair automated gate systems across commercial and domestic sites within a local patch.

You will service and repair gates, diagnose faults, work with CAME/BFT equipment, and carry out preventative maintenance in a Monday–Friday, 40-hour week with a company van and fuel provided.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Gate Engineer or similar role.
• Proven experience maintaining and repairing CAME and / or BFT equipment (essential)
• Good electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
• Experience working with automated gates and access systems.
• Able to work independently and manage a daily schedule of jobs.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable, practical and safety-conscious approach.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair automated gates and access control systems.
• Diagnose and rectify electrical and mechanical faults.
• Work with CAME and BFT gate automation equipment.
• Carry out routine maintenance and preventative servicing.
• Attend breakdowns and respond to customer call-outs.
• Complete installations, upgrades and replacement works where required.
• Test and commission equipment following repairs and maintenance.
• Complete service reports and relevant paperwork accurately.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
• Provide a professional and customer-focused service at all times.
