Job summary

LJ Recruitment is seeking an experienced Gate Engineer to join a busy team; responsible for installation, servicing, maintenance and repair of automated gate systems across commercial and domestic sites.

The successful candidate will have hands-on experience with CAME and BFT equipment and will diagnose faults, carry out repairs and ensure systems operate safely and reliably for customers within a local patch near Roydon.

Qualifications

• Experience as Gate Engineer or similar role.
• Proven experience maintaining and repairing CAME and/or BFT equipment.
• Good electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
• Experience working with automated gates and access systems.
• Able to work independently and manage a daily schedule of jobs.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable, practical and safety-conscious approach.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair automated gates and access control systems.
• Diagnose and rectify electrical and mechanical faults.
• Work with CAME and BFT gate automation equipment.
• Carry out routine maintenance and preventative servicing.
• Attend breakdowns and respond to customer call-outs.
• Complete installations, upgrades and replacement works where required.
• Test and commission equipment following repairs and maintenance.
• Complete service reports and relevant paperwork accurately.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
• Provide a professional and customer-focused service at all times.

We are looking for an experienced Gate Engineer to join a busy and established team, responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance and repair of automated gate systems across commercial and domestic sites.

Package

• £32,240 basic salary
• 40-hour working week, Monday to Friday, 7:00am-5:0pm
• Saturday overtime available
• Company van provided
• Fuel provided
• All work located within approximately 60 miles of the Roydon office
• Stable, localised work with no requirement for long-distance travel
• Opportunity to work with a range of automated gate systems and customers
