Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a Consultant Gastroenterologist on a full-time or part-time basis. The post supports expansion within Gastroenterology across sub-specialties, with opportunities in education, teaching and clinical research.

The role involves emergency gastroenterology work and emergency Upper GI endoscopy, with on-call duties alternated between two consultants. Base ward cover at NTGH may occur.

Qualifikationen

• MBBS qualification and full GMC registration required.
• Full accreditation with the appropriate Royal College.
• Experience at Consultant level or within 6 months of CCT if applicable.
• Commitment to teaching and professional development.

Aufgaben

• Provide general gastroenterology services with subspecialty interest areas.
• Cover emergency gastroenterology admissions and emergency Upper GI endoscopy (ERCP/EUS).
• Participate in education, teaching and clinical research as part of the MDT.
