Job summary

Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an enthusiastic Consultant Gastroenterologist to join a busy, multidisciplinary team in Bath. The role includes inpatient and outpatient care, with diverse GI endoscopy activity and opportunities to develop subspecialty interests.

The department performs ERCP, capsule endoscopy and is linked with EUS services. Teaching, research and service development are supported across the group.

Qualifications

• MRCP (UK) or equivalent postgraduate qualification is essential.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient care (1:13 rota) and outpatient clinics (2/week).
• Endoscopy lists (3/week) and weekend duties including emergency endoscopy.
• Teaching, training and multi-disciplinary meeting participation encouraged.
• Audit, admin duties and attendance at directorate meetings.
