Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS foundation Trust is seeking a Consultant in Gastroenterology to lead complex endoscopy services including ERCP and EUS and contribute to the digital roadmap of the trust.

The role includes performing the consultant of the week 2 (COW2) shifts, providing an in-reach gastroenterology service to the acute medical unit in the morning, followed by an inpatient endoscopy list in the afternoon.

Responsibilities

• undertake a consultant of the week 2 (COW2) shift twice a month providing in-reach gastroenterology service to the acute medical unit in the morning followed by an inpatient endoscopy list in the afternoon
• participate in advice and guidance from primary care and deliver the gastroenterology and triage service virtual clinic of 20 GP referrals per clinic
• undertake 2 weekend endoscopy lists each year as part of the job plan
