Job summary

Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust seeks a Consultant Gastroenterologist to join the Digestive Diseases Centre across Queen's Hospital and King George Hospital. You will provide inpatient and outpatient Gastroenterology care, deliver endoscopy, and contribute to teaching, governance and service development.

The post involves participation in the on-call rota, cross-site working, and collaborative clinical governance to improve patient access and cancer pathways.

Qualifications

• Full GMC registration with a licence to practice.
• Eligibility for substantive Consultant Gastroenterologist appointment.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient Gastroenterology care across Queen's Hospital and King George Hospital.
• Perform upper and lower GI endoscopy with appropriate competence.
• Participate in the on-call Gastroenterology rota and multidisciplinary team work.
• Contribute to teaching, supervision, governance, audit and service development.
